Ann Arbor singer and bassist Kelsey Detering writes songs with personal and introspective lyrics from the subconscious mind. She offers something raw and real, and connects with listeners through the power of how music makes you feel. 
 

Last year, she headed into the studio to track her debut full-length LP. It resulted in a fusion of sound she likes to call “disco rock”--the untethered artistry of rock n’ roll combined with a danceable rhythm section. Its first track, “Wasted,” features a memorable riff, impressive guitar work, a pounding groove, and fierce vocals that belt in the frustration of being alone. Singles will slowly drop and build up to the album release this summer.

Kelsey. took her electric live show to the Austin Rhythm Revival showcase at SXSW week 2026. Her performances invite audiences to experience a night of danceable rock n' roll.
